We’re talking deep discounts on Ring, Nest, Eufy, and Arlo.
There's no question that outdoor security cameras help protect you and your home. Years ago, the only option homeowners had was getting an expensive alarm system installed. But these days, there are tons of options on the market for affordable DIY setups that link up to your smart home ecosystem and send notifications and alerts to your smartphone.
If you've been thinking about making the investment, now is the time to do it. Being able to monitor what's happening at home while you're traveling for the holidays provides peace of mind. And luckily, Amazon happens to be running a fantastic sale on cams from top brands, including Ring, Nest, and Eufy — and we're seeing deals as deep as 40% off.
Whether you're shopping on a budget or have a large property and need multiple devices for coverage, read on for the very best early Black Friday deals available right now.
This wireless home security system from Eufy is an excellent deal at nearly 30% off, or a savings of $100. With 2K resolution, it captures a clear image within a 140-degree field of view — even at night — and uses AI technology to zero in on any lurking humans.
Other features include two-way audio, an IP67 weatherproof rating, a battery that lasts a year on a single charge, plus there's no monthly fee attached to get it up and running.
If you're looking for a more comprehensive security system, the four-camera security kit is also on sale for more than 20 percent off.
With motion-activated floodlights, 1080P HD video, and a 105 dB siren, this hardwired Ring cam is another great home security device — and also 30% off at the time of this writing.
It features two-way audio with noise cancellation and a wide field of view (140 degrees horizontal, 80 degrees vertical) plus it allows you to customize motion zones on your property.
Keep in mind that if you want to save recorded video from Ring security cameras and doorbells, you'll need to sign up for a subscription plan.
This wired Google Nest device is a doorbell and security camera in one, with real-time notifications and alerts when someone is at your door. It's equipped with a HDR camera that gives you a full view of people and packages left at your doorstep, and night vision to clearly capture images at all hours.
There's also two-way talk or the option to use a prerecorded message, plus you can switch off the chime. Like Ring devices, Nest requires a subscription for access to recorded video and some other nice-to-have features.
If you're in the market for a battery-powered Nest Doorbell, the next-gen wire-free model is also currently on sale.
Arlo's streamlined Pro 3 floodlight camera may be more expensive than some of the competition, but with wireless installation and an extra-wide-angle 160-degree field of view, it's certainly worth a look.
Footage is captured in HDR and both motion and sound trigger the sensor. It also features night vision and two-way audio, plus you don't have to spend extra on a separate hub for setup. Like other brands, a subscription is required for access to saved video footage, but there's a free 30-day trial offered with purchase.
Ring's wired stick-up doorbell and security cam is an excellent choice for those who don't want to plunk down a couple hundred dollars for a device.
It's about $100 at full price, currently on sale for 30% off, with many of the same features as some pricier models. Highlights include HD 1080p video with night vision and two-way talk with noise cancellation, plus motion detection and customizable motion zones.
While it offers slightly less coverage than most of the competition, and with a narrower field of view, it's still an attractive option considering what you get.
